Fees for Wills and TrustsIndividual - Our fees for standard documents for a single person: $450: Will These fees are based on $300 for the consultation plus $150 per document and include testamentary trusts for younger beneficiaries. Couple - Our fees for standard documents for a couple: $550: Wills These fees are based on $350 for the consultation plus $100 per document and include testamentary trusts for younger beneficiaries. Testamentary Trusts For ongoing testamentary trusts (i.e., spousal trusts and sprinkling family trusts that name a family member as trustee and do not wind up when the beneficiary reaches a specific age), the base fee is $2,000 for the first trust and $500 for each subsequent trust. This fee is in addition to our standard fee. Additional Legal Services For additional legal services Turning Point Law charges by the hour. Additional legal services include estate planning, analyzing farm and corporation succession issues, complicated family situations (i.e., blended families) and tax advice. For these services, our rates are: $ 400 per hour for Paul McLaughlin Disbursements Disbursements are payments to third parties to carry your matter forward. Some examples of disbursements are courier charges, Land Titles Office fees and Corporate Registry fees. It is unusual to have disbursements when drafting Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Personal Directives. Other Charges We do not charge for routine services such as photocopying, faxing and file administration. Goods and Services Tax We charge GST on all our fees and most disbursements.
